I love matured spirits. Having worked in the spirits industry for a few years, I gained a high level of respect for the aged spirit. There is an incredible amount of love, craft, hardship, science and art that goes into making the perfect matured spirit. So going on vacation to Louisville, my husband and I spent some quality time respecting (and drinking) the official spirit of the region... BOURBON!!
We did manage to do other things like an afternoon of losing money at Churchill Downs betting on the ponies. Late night bowling. Spent some time with our good friend Megan, who took us to some amazing meals and the most perfect dive bar that was actually a Steelers bar so we could watch the Steelers vs. Ravens game. It felt like we were in Pittsburgh and it was kinda amazing!! haha.
