I met Justin and Amanda over coffee to talk about all their wedding plans. A small and simple wedding at Meson Sabika with close family and friends from all over (Michigan, Ohio, Ireland and local). Aside from the crazy heat and humidity that day, it was just that.
I met the bride in the early afternoon for some detail photos and her getting into the dress. followed shortly after the with first look and a few portraits with the two of them and family. With sweat dripping off of everyone in the afternoon sun, we quickly wrapped that up for AC and beverages.
The ceremony space was set up on the lovely patio at Meson Sabika. Water was flowing and fans were flapping through the funny and short ceremony. The mother of the groom had clued me into a little surprise for the bride immediately after the "I-do's" -- an Irish bagpiper came from behind the building to play for the newlyweds and lead them back to the reception. Amanda was stunned and very excited.
The reception was causal with passed appetizers, open bar and a delicious buffet dinner. Toasts with laughs and hidden tears. Lots of hugs and celebration all around!
