I cannot believe this was 7 months ago! To think where things stand with weddings today... I miss my couples and capturing their love stories. I am grateful for Shauna and Kevin's wedding and those few couples that have decided to re-plan their events to wed in 2020. They will keep me going and excited for 2021!
Shauna's family home was a buzz when I arrived. Familiar, smiling faces and hugs all around as Shauna came to me through a referral. Shauna's details were perfection and a wedding gown to die for and her crew was the sweetest!
After a round of beer pong, dressing and quick trip to the church, the gentlemen had to wait patiently for the bridesmaids to arrive. A little bit of nerves, a little bit excitement and a lot of things in their pockets I had to steal before strolling down the aisle. Dudes! HAHA
The walk down the aisle was adorable. Shauna's son Charlie joined her Dad for the walk to meet Kevin. All smiles. Holding back tears. The ceremony to follow was lovely.
January weddings are a little unpredictable. We got "lucky" in that even though it was cold, there was fresh snow on the ground. Fresh snow makes drab winter days so much better. The bridal party were a bunch of troopers!
Upon direction from Shauna, all the bridesmaids brought boots to wear under their dresses. All remember except 1.... THE BRIDE! Luckily I work with some of the best humans and my second photographer gave up his shoes so Shauna's feet wouldn't fall off while we finished up their intimate portraits (THANKS STEPHEN). He was able to go inside and shoot the cocktail hour in his socks haha.
The reception flew by and before we knew it the dance floor was rockin'. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the sweetest dances with their parents and Shauna and Kevin's first dance to Taylor Swift's Lover.... because YEAH!!
