Ashley and Steve's Wedding -- Between the Rain Drops

From the beginning of the day, the weather was questionable. On and off rain and the radar wasn’t giving us a lot of hope but everyone stayed positive. Checking the weather report every 20 min and willing the clouds away if only for an hour. I bought some cute umbrellas as a back-up plan... just in case Mother Nature didn't play nice.

As Ashley and her Dad approached the crowd, the Imperial March rang out. Lightsabers rose to allow her pass and join her fiancé at the altar. Between the rain drops at the Morton Arboretum’s Hedge Garden a ceremony full of smiles, giggles and beautiful, heartfelt words went off without a drop -- well maybe a few.

The cocktail hour and the reception followed in the perfectly decorated White Pine Pavilion Tent. Every table adorn with a Star Wars themed quote, candlelight and fall colors. Themed details everywhere... on the cake and in the speeches. A love spell was even cast by Harry Potter’s friend/Father of the Bride.

Now, let’s talk about the dance moves. I feel like the Bride and Groom could have given me a little heads up about this…. Not a clue they had these moves! The B&G started things off with their first dance and coordinate routine. The Groom and his Mom took it to a whole other level. Several of the guest also brought their A game. It was a challenge to not want to stop photographing and just watch all the fun – and maybe join in J

So, I have to admit, I am clueless when it comes to Harry Potter and I am an amateur in the ways of Star Wars. I Googled a Harry Potter joke for this blog post…

Where do you find a Dumbledore’s Army?... Up his sleevy. I hope you HP fans get it. I do not J

Here’s what I do know. Ashley and Steve have wrapped themselves in a cloak of amazing people. The love they share can break any spell and their futures are brighter than a lightsaber.

THE END.
