Awww Lindsey and Tim. These two are just a joy to be around. They are the perfect yin and yang - complementary forces. Lindsey, scientific and methodical. Tim, artistic and emotional. Both incredibly respectful, supportive and kind. I had the pleasure of working with them for both their engagement session and wedding, which I love because it lets us get to know each other better.
Lindsey and Tim's day started with a little drizzle on a chilly November day. Hidden away in the North Water Apartments, the guys and gals were putting their finishing touches on getting ready and preparing for a Chinese family tradition -- the door games and first look.
The Groom must successfully answer questions and perform some activities to gain access to his Bride. Once he passes all the tests, he slips on her shoes like Cinderella, sweeps her off her feet and out the door for the ceremony! So adorable and romantic!
Augustana Lutheran Church hosted a lovely ceremony filled with faith, love and humor. Quickly following, we toured the campus of The University of Chicago for bridal party photos where Lindsey is currently a Ph.D student. While roaming campus and taking over the "smart people" lounges, we had some serious fun... while the students were studying :)
The reception was full of laughs and AMAZING dance moves! Literally... a photographers dream with these dance moves. Oh yea... Lindsey was also a competitive ballroom dancer... and it seems like she trained her Dad and Tim haha. Quite impressive.
